KILLEEN CHRISTIAN MINISTERS FELLOWSHIP

ABOUT US

The Killeen Christian Ministers Fellowship (KCMF) is an informal group of pastors, ministers and chaplains from around the greater Fort Hood area who get together monthly for fellowship and prayer. Attendance at our meetings is open to all ministers in the local area, and their spouses.

OUR MONTHLY MEETINGS

The group meets monthly in Killeen:

  • On the first Tuesday of each month
  • From 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
  • At East Side Baptist Church, 500 N. WS Young Drive
  • A complimentary lunch is provided

OUR GOALS AND PURPOSES

Our main goal is to provide a platform for the spiritual leaders of the community to connect with one another, get to know one another and strengthen our relationships with one another. We feel that a great way to accomplish this is by having discussions over lunch, and praying together.

Our meetings also include information sharing. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards, flyers and handouts regarding their organization and/or upcoming events they may wish to share with the rest of the group.

As we spend time getting to know one another, we often discover projects that we can (and indeed, should) work on together. Naturally, this provides additional opportunities for Biblical fellowship, while also increasing the effectiveness and reach of the projects. In fact, often during a meeting, someone mentions a particular need, and someone else just happens to know of a resource that meets that exact need. Praise be to our great God!

In addition to the monthly prayer luncheons, the KCMF also coordinates the following prayer meetings and activities:

OTHER EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

  • The annual National Day of Prayer in the Central Texas area
  • A semi-annual area-wide prayer summit on Fort Hood
  • A 24-hour Citywide Prayer Wall covering the Central Texas Area
  • Weekly citywide prayer meetings at KPLE-TV
  • Various other citywide activities or events from time to time

OUR BELIEFS

As our name indicates, we are a distinctly Christian group, and as such, we adhere to the core tenets of the Christian faith. This unites us under the lordship of Jesus Christ, while allowing variety of expression of our faith. We try to focus on the things we have in common rather than on the things that tend to cause division:

  • There is one true living God, eternally co-existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
  • Jesus is the Son of God; He became man and shed his innocent blood, paying the penalty for our separation from God due to our inherent sin; He was raised from the dead by the power of God and is alive; He is the head of the church and we submit to His lordship;
  • The Bible is inspired by God and is the authoritative basis of our faith and our world view.
